Small connection - The Moynes

Hoping to discover what happened to my grand-uncle Daniel Moynes. Daniel was born 1 Limekiln Lane,Liverpool, on the 11th June 1895 - to William Moynes and Catherine O'Donnell. He served with the East Lancashire Heavy Firing Battalion in WW1 and survived. Last seen by my grandmother in Derry, N.Ireland in 1919. Spoke of taking assisted passage to Canada and, possibly, eventually move on to U.S.A.
He was never heard of after that. Does he appear in anyone's family records?
