Hello,
I supposedly have an ancestor by the name of Thomas or Michael Moynihan who came to Boston from Irland in the early 1800s. He later went to Nova Scotia and New Brunswick, Canada where two of his sons where born. The youngest that I know of being named Thomas who is listed as Menehan in the Montgomery County, Illinois US Census as a farm laborer in 1860.
