Tony, please reread my last message to you. My Elizabeth SPARGO was, as that message says, born in 1827. Her place of birth was either Mabe or Mylor. In 1853, at Mabe, Elizabeth married John MOYLE, born in Wendron in abt 1827, whose father was "old" John MOYLE, the stonemason. "Young" John MOYLE, who was also a stonemason, and Elizabeth emigrated straight after their marriage, to Australia, settling in Ballarat, Victoria. They were my great grandparents.
"Young" JohnMOYLE was, I believe, the older brother of William MOYLE, ( whom you mentioned in your message) another stonemason, whose grandson became Lord Arthur MOYLE, the Baron.
Do you have a record of the wife of "old" John MOYLE and the mother of "young" John, William and their six siblings?
I am just about convinced it was Jane PASCOE, but am in the process of obtaining the necessary certificates to put the matter beyond doubt.
I am in touch with others who have done a lot of work on the Spargo family and would be happy to share information.
Perhaps you could reply to me direct by email at:[email protected]
Do you have Family Tree Maker or other program that would permit exchange of GEDCOMs?
Cheers
