I am researching the Moyle, Toy and Winn line as these surnames keep popping up in my research.

My father is Samuel Winn Reid Toy Moyle his parents were William Moyle and Edith Mary Toy.

His grand parents were William Moyle and Harriet Winn Toy. 2xG-Parents were William Moyle and Mary Ann Toy.

All but Samuel W R T Moyle were born in Wendron Cornwall England.

This the known positive line and goes back to 1810.

William and Harriet came to Australia on the Forfarshire in 1876 with 4 living children Harriet Winn, William, Samuel, John.

Harriet the daughter had 3 Children and died age 25 in 1889, William had 3 children 1 died age 12 hours 1893, William James died a batchlor in 1951, Sam W R T died in 1962 aged 62.

Harriet the mother died in Sth Australia 1885 and William died in Broken Hill in 1914.

Samuel, Williams brother went to Queensland and died there abt 1920's sometime and John the youngest brother stayed in Sth Aust till his death in 1944 in Adelaide.

I hope that this is enough to wet your appitite so I can get a quick reply and am interested in joining up with the FGWebsite and also the Moyle private website.

I am just learning about the internet so am a little hesitant on how to go about getting info.

Just recently I came across a possible conection with James Moyle who Married Elizabeth Rowe, Wendron Con Eng still hoping this is finally the right line to trace back as all others have panned out as not mine.

Margaret Moyle
