Moye of 442 David, Thankyou for your interest in the Moye Book. The Moye Book is about 250 pages and is nearly finished. It contains the descendants of John Moye and Dorothy Wheeler from Virginia into NC. Most of the Book is about the Moye's of Pitt/Craven/Greene Counties of NC. Some lines are traced to SC, Ga., Ark., Missouri and Indiana I have made alot of "educated guesses" because of the lack of records because we live in burned counties. But I have the most material collected on the Moye's and do give footnotes. I will "upset the apple cart" with a number of family lines. Everyone wants to go back to Sheriff George Moye (m. Elizabeth Gardner) of Pitt Co. because he was the famous one, while ignoring the other five George Moye's in the area. If it were true he had 32 children. Already I've created quite a stir, getting back some terse e-mails and correspondence. But they offer no proof other than so-in-so said it 60 years ago. Yes, I do have John Cass Moye's line in the book. He was the son of George Moye and Fanny Dubberly of Craven Co., NC; and grandson of John Moye and his first wife (name unknown). If you have anything to share on your line or family, I will give you the credit. Thanks, Roger Kammerer Good Luck Jeffrey Notify Administrator about this message?
