Moy from China / Educated in Japan / Taught in New York

Seeking any descendants of a Moy who came from Taishan, Guangdong (Canton), China.

In his early 30s, he left his wife and family in China for Japan to be educated. He earned either a Master's Degree or PhD. in Japan. He could not return to China as he was known to be associated with Sun Yat-Sen. While in Japan he took up a Shanghai woman. With the Shanghai woman, he moved to either the San Francisco area or New York area. He became a teacher and started a new family. He may or may not have changed his name when he immigrated to the United States. This all happened in the circa the early 1900s.

This story came from his younger sister who lived in Hong Kong. There is a supposed photo of this Moy relative shaking hands with Sun Yat-Sen.

Any information about whereabouts about this "Moy", the Shanghai woman or their descendents is greatly appreciated.
