I have a photo of my great grandmother, Vina Mowery (as a child) with an older brother Monroe standing behind her. Their father, Jeff Mowery is seated in the same photo, with no mother pictured. The photo is from a photo studio, but has no indication of the location or the name of the studio on the photo. Vina is found with her husband (my grandfather), Orin Fainstock Claborn (or Clayborn) and their two children (Monta (my grandmother) and Aubrey (my great uncle) in the 1910 census of Waldron twp, Grady County, Oklahoma. I have the marriage certificate of O. F. Clayborn and Vina Mowrey in 1907 Muskogee Oklahoma when Vina was listed as age 19. Orin's family is from Wilburton, Oklahoma where he is buried with his 2nd wife, Mollie (English) Claborn and other family members. I believe I found Vina's brother Monroe at age 17 living as a border in Wilburton, Oklahoma, and later with his wife and family in Muskogee, Oklahoma. The census states he is from Texas, father from Texas and mother from Texas. Vina is also said to be from Texas with at least one parent also from Texas. Vina was then born about 1888 (if the marriage certificate is correct) and died between 1910 and
1912 I believe)..she died young. I believe she and her brother Monroe are the children of Jeff Davis Mowery, the youngest child of Mathias (or Matthias) Mowery and Malinda
Giddens (or Gideon) I am searching for some proof, connection or other direction to go to if I am on the wrong path.
Thanks, Carmen Arn
