Larry; I have a good data base going on the Highland Co. OH. Mourer-Mowry-Mowery.s I have a Leonard Mourer that settled there abt.1810, and I have his early descendants line in good order. He had a daughter Sophia born abt. 1793 that married Paton Hough. There is no other Sophias in my line up to about the 1880s where my research gets tough. My gut feeling is your Sophia Mowry b.abt.1828 married Cary Mcquitty abt.1845 ia a daughter of Abe Mowry whom the village of Mowrytown OH.--Highland Co. was named after. I think that William T. Mowry is a son of Abe also. Do not get Abe Mowry mixed up with Abel Mourer (sometimes Abel R. & A.R.) that married Sarah Badgley in 1852 ,who is part of my line. There was a Dr. Peter Mourer in this time frame also, but his will list 3 girls; Catherine,Barbara, & Mariah. Hope I have given you a little info. that will be helpfull in your research. Robert S. Mowery
