I have a photo taken in early 1900s of five Mowery children on a horse: "Old Charlie". The background looks like a sod house or shed. The oldest girl looks to be about ten years old, and the other children range from toddler to 6 yrs old. I beleive their father was Walter Mowery, and they are related to my family, the Clarks or Waldrons who lived in Winona and Bismarck, North Dakota from 1870 through the 1920s. They would have been first cousins to my father, Ken Corcoran(1909)and his brother Jack (1906).
Their parent's name is on a wedding list in Winona, ND in June, 1897, the Spicer-McCrory wedding held at Jack McCrory's ranch. Jack McCrory owned the Turkey Trunk Cattle Company.
Is this family part of your family tree?
Thanks, Mary Corcoran
