Henry E was probably a son of Henry Mowbray from Dorchester County, Maryland, who married Mary Hooper about 1790 there. In her ancestry was Ennals Hooper, and I think that's what the 'E' stood for as Henry's second name. As for Henry's parents, it is quite possible that he was a son of James and Mary Mowbray of Dorchester and Baltimore Counties, fl. 1769 in Dorchester Land Records. He does not appear to be a son of William Mowbray who dies there in 1760, leaving three known sons, William, Thomas and Aaron.
Did your Henry E.Mowbray leave any children, and perhaps you could say what happened to them ? I believe he was a carpenter in Baltimore around 1827.
