I have: EZRA MOUSSEAU b. 4-15 1857
d. 9-30-1934
wife, Ida Kirkey, d 2-23-1926

As well, obituary for Miss Laura Geneva Mousseau, 73, died in Massena NY, burial 5-30-1960 Housekeeper, b 2-27-1887 in Massena, daughter of Israel and Ida Kirkey Mousseau. Survived by sister (Mary) Mrs. Dennis LaComb.

These obots were from my cousins JoAnn Lysak who copied them in the Massena Library.

From the St. Lawrence County Obits. on line there is the following:

Surname: Kirkey, Mousaw, Sharlow, Jessmer, LaComb, Sharlow, Lavine
-------------------------

Mrs. Ida Kirkey Mousaw, aged 65, wife of Ezra Mousaw, died suddenly Tuesday
afternoon from a shock suffered just after leaving Joe Williams' store
on Park avenue. The Mousaw home is on the Grantville road in the town of
Norfolk, about three miles from Massena. Mr. and Mrs. Mousaw drove to town
Tuesday in their cutter to do some shopping. Mrs. Mouaw had just left the
Williams store, about 4:45 o'clock, and entered the cutter when she suddenly
exclaimed to her husband, "Oh my head, what's the matter with my head?"
She immediately became unconscious. Mr. Mousaw drove to the home of her
sister, Mrs. Samuel Sharlow, on Grinnell street, where she was made as
comfortable as possible but expired in about five minutes. Mr. Mousaw,
aided by Chief of Police B. J. Demo, obtained a doctor as soon as possible
but nothing could be done. Her health had been believed excellent.

Mrs. Mousaw was born in the town of Massena 65 years ago next July, daughter
of Louis and Mary Jessmer Kirkey. She was married about 50 years ago. Until
about ten years ago, when they moved to the present farm, Mrs. Mousaw had
always lived here.

Surviving, besides her husband, are two daughters, Mrs. Dennis LaComb,
of Brasher Falls, and Miss Laura Mousaw, of Plattsburg; one son, Walter
Mousaw, of Saranac Lake; three sisters, Mrs. Samuel Sharlow and Mrs. Moses
Kirkey, of Massena, and Mrs. Henry Lavine, of the Racket River road; and
three brothers, Joseph Kirkey, of Massena, George Kirkey, of Malone, and
David Kirkey, of Louisville; and ten grandchildren.

Also Ida Kirkey's brother David's obit:

Joseph Benjamin Kirkey, 74, a lifelong resident of Massena, died Thursday
afternoon at 5:30 o'clock at the home of his daughter, Mrs. Thomas Raymo,
of Helena. He had been in failing health for the past year, suffering from
dropsy.

Mr. Kirkey was born in Massena April 14, 1854, son of John and Mary Kirkey.
He was a farmer by occupation. His marriage to Miss Almira Mitchell,of
Massena, took place on August 27, 1874. She died on May 20, 1925, and since
then he had spent histime with his children.

Surviving are six daughters, Mrs. Herbert Rafter, of Norwood, Mrs. Thomas
Raymo, of Helena, Mrs. Charles Jessmer, Mrs. Frank Beaulieu, Mrs. George
Lacomb and Mrs. Joseph LaBaff, of Massena; three sons, Ernest, Thomas and
Joseph Kirkey, of Massena; two sisters, Mrs. Moses Kirkey and Mrs. Henry
Lavine, of Massena; two brothers, David Kirkey, of Massena, and George
Kirkey, of Malone; about 20 grandchildren, and several great-grandchildren.

The body was brought to the home of his daughter, Mrs. Charles Jessmer,
on the South Racket river road. The funeral was held Saturday morning at
9:00 o'clock from the home and at 10:00 o'clock from Sacred Heart church.
The body was placed in the vault, awaiting burial in Calvary cemetery in
the spring.

I will ask more about Ezra's background as I don't have him in my Mousseau/ Mousaw data.
