Perhaps you can clarify some conflicting info relative to Joseph Mousseau (b. 6 June 1697) and his 1st and 2nd wives. I have two primary sources that are somewhat in conflict. The 2nd source also has an internal error because it claims that one of the sons of Joseph and his 1st wife was born several years after Joseph married his 2nd wife. It also conflicts with the death date of the 1st wife provided by the 1st source. Unfortunately neither of the sources has posted any information related to their sources so it is difficult to assess which is more correct.
I'm most interested in Joseph and Madeleine's son Jean-Baptiste as my wife's line of descent seems to run thrugh him, his son Francois, grandson, Alexis and greatgrandson Nazaire, one of her maternal great grandfathers.
