Frank, sorry it took me so long to reply, learning slowly how to use this computer.I did not know there was a message or info. behind the e-mail.My grandfathers name was Alex/is Magloire Mousseau/x and he did marry my grandmother, she was from the passcreek area or the Pineridge reservation ,and there are more Mousseaux inthe other reservation which is Rosebud. My grandmother was born at home so she had 2 different birth years on file 1891-1892,she was 16 years old at the time she married him and he was 28,one relative states, another said he was older at the time of marriage, they had 7 children and adopted 2. My mother was the youngest, she said papa died when I was only 2,but she claims she can still remember him at that age. Also I actually found his name under the Indian census rolls in Pineridge accidentally,I was so excited I forgot to write the inf. down, which had his name ,d.o.b. and census #. I do know that in the past when a non-indian married an Indian they were adopted and considered Indian,so alot of non-indians became enrolled as members, this has changed. My mothers blood quantum is looked at by my grandmothers blood and grandfathers and is not full blood.Presently my grandchildren, when they have children will not be able to enroll as native americans, very confusing and does'nt make much sense but thats the way it is here. And can you give me more info. about what you e- mailed me,please?
