Martha,

I have three articles on the Mourning family that were written by the Mourning Family Association in the early 1930's. All traditions agree that Roger was born in Ireland around 1739 and left there in 1775 as a young married man or widower. Roger's first wife, whose name is not known is the mother of John. The Mourning Family Association articles believe that he came to America as a widower and it was on board the ship he seems to have taken special notice of a young lady.
I can fill you in on all the other details or even mail you copies of these articles. I also have another large publication that I copied at the Library of Congress that I need to find and I could alos copy that as well.
