I am trying to locate the ancestors of John W. Mountz a doctor in Old Town, Allegany, Maryland around 1840-50. John was first married to Margaret Lantz in Allegany county and had six children, John D., Mary Catherine, Maria, Clarissa, Lavinia and George. His second wife was Sophia Pugh daughter of Jesse and Margaret Deffenbaugh Pugh. He had one son by this marriage Albert G. Mountz born 1848-9.
John may have been born in Washington county, MD or Washington DC.
