Karen, I have some info on your husband's line of Mounce, Brinson and Meece.
Jonathan Brinson was born ca 1820 in Pulaski Co, KY. Married Jane Phelps on 15 Mar 1841 in Pulaski Co, KY. They had the following children: John B., Andrew J., Matthew, Willis G., Martha and George Washington Brinson. He married Martha Jane Meece on 24 Oct 1872 in PCK...he was 52 and she was 19! Their children were: William Green, Elizabeth, James Milford, Enoch, Mary Catherine, Sopha Parker, Robert Lee, Sarah Jane, and Christopher Columbus Brinson.
I do not have info on Jonathan's parents. Martha Jane Meece was the daughter of Henry Meece, b 1820 in KY, and Mary Ann "Polly" Baker, b 1823 in KY.
James Milford Brinson was born 2 Feb 1878 and d 15 Sep 1963 in PCK. Sabra Rachel Mounce was b 14 Oct 1878 and d 3 Jan 1942 in PCK. They are buried at White Lily Baptist Church Cemetery.
Sabra Mounce was the daughter of James Carter Mounce, b 17 Feb 1853 in PCK, and his first wife, Elizabeth B. Hargis, b 1852 in PCK. James Carter later married Sarah E. Bray on 10 Oct 1878 and Sophia Isabelle Dykes on 22 Jan 1893.
Elizabeth B. Hargis was the daughter of John Thomas Hargis, b 1806 in PCK and d aft 1870 in PCK, and Jemima Clark, b abt 1810 in PCK.
John Thomas Hargis was the son of William Hargis, b abt 1780 in VA and d May 1860 in PCK, and Rachel Meece, b 1784 in Wythe Co, VA, and d in PCK. They are buried in the Baker-Mounce Cemetery.
John Thomas Hargis is probably the son of John Hargis, b abt 1759 in VA, and Jane Pyron, b abt 1760 in NC. I descend from another son of John and Jane, Abraham Hargis, b 1788, and his wife, Susannah Price.
Rachel Meece was the daughter of Thomas Meece, b 23 Apr 1754 in Lancaster Co, PA and d 25 Aug 1817 in PCK, and Christine Mosser, b abt 1755 in Lancaster Co, PA and d abt 1817 in PCK. Thomas and Christina had moved ca 1779-1784 from Lancaster Co, PA to Wythe Co, VA, and then were in Pulaski Co, KY by the 1800 census. He bought 300 acres of Pitman Creek in PCK. I also descend from Thomas and Christina through their son, Henry, b 1776 in Lancaster Co, PA.
I have more info on the early Meece line and early Brinson line. I descend from John Brinson, b abt 1775 in NC, and Belinda Taylor, who also settled in PCK. I'm sure that you Jonathan is closely connected to John Brinson.
