Joel Raymond's partner was Samuel A. Moulton, according to the 1850 census born about 1812 in Maine. He doesn't seem to have been in Boston for very long, though like Joel he boarded and might have been invisible to such records as the city directory. He wasn't always listed as living anywhere when his business was listed. He also seems to have dematerialized after 1850.
He was a weigher adn gauger at 30 Eastern Railroad Wharf. He boarded at 22 Sheafe when anything can be found about his residence at all. After Joel Raymond died he was replaced for a short time by George Lane.
Does anyone know who this guy was?I was rather hoping that a descendant might know what happened to Joel Raymond, though it sounds like he and his partners led a rather transient existence.
