Hi,

I'd invite you to join the MOLER-MOULDER DNA project.
http://worldfamilies.net/surnames/m/moler/

We are just getting back results from a descendant of the original John (b. 1733-1738) and his brother Valentine (b. say 1741). The results for the John MOLER (MOULDER) descendant (M-3) are not yet posted but will be.
The early results are leading back to what we believe are the Swiss origin of our MOHLER (MOLER-MOULDER) family, with a one generation stop in Germany.

We would like to have tests through descendants of all of John's sons:
Henry ca. 1765
John before 1770
Jacob 1775 (this is the one tested)
Valentine 1776

Tests through other sons could help narrow down when mutations in the line of the tested Jacob occurred, and help support the evidence of the Swiss origin. Did the mutation in Jacob's line occur with his father John, in which case it would be among descendants of all his sons, or did it occur later in Jacob's line. In that case, descendants of John's sons Henry, John and Valentine might match exactly with that of Valentine (b. say 1741).

If you are interested or have any questions, please contact me.

Rick Saunders
Moler-Moulder DNA coordinator
