Hi D James,
On Hannah Murphy Moulden,
This is what I found at the National Archives,
in Waltham, MA.
Hannah was living with her son in law Watson Thurston and daughter Phebe in the 1900 census.
Tremont, ME - Microfilm roll # T 623 -593

(should be 7 if date correct)

The 1880 census of Tremont was hard for me to read, but the LDS at Familysearch had this:

Again it seems her date of birth is either 1837 or 1836 (she would be 44 in Dec)
From the 1870 Census in Tremont 28/264 June 20 1870
MOULDEN, James age 48 occupation Sailor place of birth Bermuda
Hannah age 32 Kitchen Help
James F. age 12 Sailor (should be age 14 acc to 1900 census)
Lizzie E. age 11
Lois age 8
Mary A. age 6
Phebe M. age 3
Looks like 1837 for Hannah if she turns 33 in Dec.
In the 1860 census of Tremont pg 30 695/677 Aug 4, 1860
MOULDING, James age 35? Seaman
Hannah age 24?
James F. age 4
Lizzie age 2
The month and Year of birth for our Hannah appears to be corect for the 1900 census
Her age was given as 62 (she would be 63 in Dec).
I also have seen age discrepancies from census to census on people.
It could be erroneous depending on who filed the document.
Plus the records are handwritten and I may have erred in transcribing it.
But As I mentioned, Hannah the daughter of George and Dorcas Murphy is too old to be the Hannah Murphy who married James Moulding. According to the census records.
But the other hannah Mrphy who I believe is the daughter of Joshua and Louise Murphy is the correct age.
Hannah daughter of George and Dorcas was born about 1828. She would have been about 26 when James Moulden was married.
Hannah #2 who I believe was the daughter of Joshua and Louise was born about 1837 and would have been about 17.
When James married her.
It was not uncommon for a man to marry a younger wife back then.
