Shelley-Elias is my gggg-uncle and Samuel J. is ggg-grandfather Elias was born about 1815 and married Mary E Smith jun 18 1849, Samuel J. married Jane Rebecca Thompson 26 dec 1848, both were in Poolesville from 1850 till thier deaths, as far as I can tell Elias and Mary had no childern, Elias was a Pvt in the 35th Va. Cav. and has a marker at his grave site, Mary has no stone at all, Elias is buried in the upper part on Beallsville Cem to the left on the chapel, beside the road, part of the maker is covered by a bush and the stone stands alone. Lot 9 Upperlevel. Elias and Samuel were carpenters in the Poolesviile area. More later. Gary
