According to the book Carpenters A Plenty by Robert C. Carpenter on p. 791 Eli Mosteller B. May 17,1833 and died August 14,1914 was the son of Daniel Mosteller and Catherine Carpenter. He was married to Lavina Elvira Heavner. They are both buried in the Pisgah Methodist Church Cemetery in Lincoln County North Carolina. My great grandfather William Pinkney was listed as one of his sons. He was born June 03,1871 and died June 27,1926 according to his death certificate. He died in Atlanta, Fulton County, Georgia. My grandmother was Dorothy Mosteller. However, I need more proof to connect William to Eli. On his death certificate there is no parents listed.
