Edward Mozley was found in Anherst Co. Va in 1778.It is believed that he was the son of James and ? and married Mary McDaniel prior to this date.(This information comes from a family collation dated 1893.)This information about James and the marriage of Edward, Sr. to Mary McDaniel has not been proven altho most of the stuff in the collation has held up.
July 21, 1785 Edward "Edwin" Mozley, Jr. married Sarah Gathright, dau. of Miles Gathright, in Bedford Co., Va.Samuel G(athright) was born to Edwin and Sarah in 1788/89.They were in Wilkes co., Ga. in 1789.Edward died in about 1821 in either Wilkes or Walton Co., Ga.

Mosley/Mozley in my data base altho I have seen some info on the net about a John S. who married Susan Cordery. (In this forum?) Do you have any info that links him to this family?I have an extensive file on my Mozley in Family Tree Maker under the Ancestors of Lowell Isaiah Mozley. All of the information in my data base has not been proven by me but I can supply addresses of the researchers of most of the stuff. And there appears to be some controversy concerning the parentage of Nancy Henderson who married Lawrence Bankston, Jr.Address:Let me know if you see anything that can be of use. Mona
