Lynda: Could your William MOSLEY have been from Sumter Dist., SC?I have identified several families which left there in late 1830s and most settled in or around Butler Co., AL.William ANDRESS & Ann RHAME, Arthur BAXTER & Margaret RIDGWAY, Abner DUBOSE & Elizabeth RIDGWAY, Jesse V. & Ransom Hope RHAME, several RIDGWAY males, all inter-related.
Ransom Hope RHAME (above) married MOSLEY sisters, Sarah Alice & Susannah Hopkins (1840 & 1843 respectively) in AL. Some of these families moved to LA in late 1850s. A John Womack MOSLEY was somehow connected, possibly brother of Sarah Alice & Susannah H.
