Thank you. That is the hugh that I've been zeroing in on as the link between the well-known Moshers and my fred - son of George - son of Hugh. But it still isn't conclusive. I think your point about ordering birth certificates is well taken. That should probably be my next step. (btw, there were three siblings that all moved out to Minnesota with their mother and step-father. Fred, born in 1855, and twins Lora and Loran, born in 1857. Have you ever seen the latter names?)
