I finally found my family's connection to the rest of the internet Moshers. It was Lanson B. (Burr?) Mosher. He married Ellen Sullivan who died young but had at least one son Wallace Edward Mosher. The rest of Lanson's family all had L.M. initiails: Lucy, Loisa, Laura, Lorand, Lawarence, Lanson, Lyman, and Lock. Lanson and Ellen were originally from NY. Are there any relatives to these out there? Or does anyone know if Lanson remarried?
My line is as such Hugh, Hugh, James, William, James, William, Lanson, Wallace, Charles, Wesley, David, me.
