Madisonville Democrat (Monroe Co. The funeral services were held at Big Creek on Friday.” Madisonville Democrat (Monroe Co. TN) Wednesday, November 12, 1941, Page 1: “To The Memory Of Mrs. Ora Moses---The grim monster o death has entered the home of Dallas Moses and taken away his beloved companion as its victim. Mrs. Ora Moses was 49 years old last December and died Oct. 29, 1941. She had suffered with paralysis for several months. Ora professed faith in Christ at an early age and lived a consistent Christian life until death. She leaves to mourn her going her husband and a daughter, Mrs. Della Coleman of Athens; one brother, Frank Stephens, and a sister, Mrs. Nellie Payne of Trion, Ga.; also several other relatives. But “their loss is Heaven’s eternal gain.” Ora will be missed in her church, as she has exhorted many sinners and encouraged Christians as to the Christian life, helping them to solve their problems and draw nearer to the Master. Her life shone brightly as an example to others. Funeral services were conducted on Friday, Oct. 31, by Rev. W.N. Cagle, after which her remains were laid to rest in Big Creek Cemetery to await the Resurrection Morning. Ora, no more will we see your smiling face on earth; but if we live as we should, we will meet you again where parting comes no more. Sleep on. “He giveth His beloved sleep.” ---A Cousin, Shelley Webb. Notify Administrator about this message?
