Nancy, I just responded to posting by an S. Oglesby that you I believe had responded to regarding Silas Moseley. My wife's aunt married a Moseley of that line and her granddaughter was given an original scrolled handwritten will of Silas Moseley dated 1857 (a classic found it in a trunk story).I am going from memory but I believe he had married only twice and had 14 children. As Christmas presents to that family, I painstakingly made photo copies of the entire will - it took 14 pages. He delinieated what he was giving each of the 14 and then felt compelled to justify the largeness or smallness of the respective giving.I am the genealogist for my wife's family and at times, her extended family too.I told them one day I would work on their Moseley lineage for them.Maybe I could patch into your work and give them a surprise this Christmas.
Would it be helpful to post names, dates, references on GenForum for Silas?I also thought I would one day transcribe the will too and have it published in the Genealogy Society of Henry and Clayton Counties quarterly publication.
