Dr. George Moseley of Sampson Co., NC
While reading on another GenForum site, I found a post with information on my ggg grandmother's death and burial.
"JAMES VANN born 1824 s/of Enoch Vann and Rebecca Tatum, md Mary Robinson born 7-15-1832died 8-25-1862, She died as a result of a fever she contracted while attending patients for DR. GEORGE MOSELEY. She is buried on the OLD MOSELY PLACE now owned by Tom Mathis. She was the daughter of Geo. Wash. Robihson and Margaret Mathis. Children: Sarah born 1848; George born 1850; Junius born 1851; Thomas born 1854; Claudia born 1856; Festus born 1856; Virginia born 1858"
Is anyone connected to this Dr. George Moseley? I did notice a spelling discrepancey between his name and that of the location. Not sure if that's a typo or if they were different.I have emailed the person who made this post several times regarding our common family lines, but have not heard anything back. I would like to connect with someone in this doctor's line or someone else who may have knowledge of him.I'd like to know more about my GGG grandmother. Her daughter, Virginia moved to Cumberland Co, NC with the father and siblings prior to 1870 and she remained there until her death in 1926.Virginia was a nurse/midwife.
Thank you in advance for any information.
