Teresa, we are most probably related?! How bizaar. I have seen records of a Thomas Moscrip, Born 1st Feb 1787, who had a brother John Moscrip, 16 July 1783, who married Janet Cranston and had at least one son, Richard Moscrip 28 August 1818, who is my GG Grandfather. This Thomas Moscrip's (02/01/1787)father was Andrew, b 11/22/1767, who had siblings Peggy 07/07/1782, George 03/12/1777, Elsbeth 02/19/1775, Betty 05/06/1779 and Helen 11/15/1772. Their Parents were James Moscrip and Betty Purvis. I will search oher records for Andrew, John Andrew, William and Lavina.
