Gov. Oliver Hazard Perry Throck Morton Day ceremony

My grandfather Clarence Paul Throckmorton resided in Hollansburg OH just across the border from Indiana. Many people are not aware that the famous Civil War governor of Indiana, O. P. Morton, was actually a Throckmorton. Last Friday Centerville, Indiana and Wayne County, Indiana declared it to be "Gov. Oliver Hazard Perry Throck Morton Day" and there was a formal ceremony at the site of the only remaining home of the governor, to whom I am about a fourth cousin fourth removed. We located the great great grandson who came from Boston to plant a tree and unveil a plaque. You can see a slide show of this and the program at my website http://www.throckmortonfamily.com. Also there was a nice writeup in the Richmond newspaper and they have a photo gallery, as well. There were union reinactors for the color guard, etc.
