The James Morton mentioned in the Probated Will in 1802 was the eldest son of John Morton Sr who came down the Shenandoah Valley from Dauphin County,PA about 1760. He married Agness Graham, dau of James Graham. I have the Will of Jean Graham, widow of James Graham in 1782. Besides Agness, she mentions sons,John and Jonathan along with Grand Daughter, jennie Brandon Graham. Jennie married William McCorkle,(his 3rd wife). They were married by her uncle (or great-uncle Griffith Rutherford who married Ann Graham). Jennie died in Dyer County, TN. John Morton Sr's G Grandson, Abner Frank Morton Jr moved to Jefferson County, AL. A descendant of that family, Fitzhugh Lee Roy, lives in Madisonville,KY and is nearly 90 years old but is very active. I have not found a Green Berry Morton but will notify you if I do. Sorry, not much help.
