For Mortons descended from Throckmortons

Gov. Oliver Hazard Perry Throck Morton, a descendent of the NJ John to Job line, will be honored by installation of a plaque and a tree planting at his Centerville, Indiana home, where he resided prior to and during his political career. Mark your calendars: the Richmond, IN Dept. of Tourism has set the date for Friday, May 15th at 11 AM at the Morton Home in Centerville at 313 W. Main St. They will have Mr. Stephen Santarelli de Brasch and his wife here to help plant a tree and dedicate the plaque. Stephen Santarelli de Brasch is a great grandson of Gov. O. P. Morton. I have been asked to attend and meet Stephen Santarelli and I have accepted. But I would like to see lots of descended (Throck)Mortons there. For those not familiar with this line and how the name for this line became separated into Throck Morton from Throckmorton, I will be putting up more information at my website www.throckmortonfamily.com soon (check the top of the site for date of last update). But the Wayne County, Indiana history buffs are well aware of it. The name was separated for the Governor’s brother also.
