John Robert Morton b.3 Sept. 1862 in Tazewell Co. Va.-d.14 Apr. 1951 in San Marcos Hays Co.Texas. He was a doctor and lived in Galveston Tx. in 1900 the year of an enormous hurricane that killed 6000+, he helped rebuild a hospital after the storm.
He m. Frances McKinnon b.24 Dec.1869-d.3 Mar. 1950 also in San Marcos Tx.. She wrote poetry and later was a newspaper columnist in San Marcos.

According to John R. Mortons death certificate his parent were James W. Morton and Elizabeth Charles and there the trail goes cold.
I can find no birth dates or census records for James W. and Elizabeth Morton or their children in Virginia.
