Greetings,
Francis McKinnon Morton wrote poetry and stories, she was also a newspaper columnist for the San Marcos Record(?),in San Marcos Texas and she died March 10 1950.
I believe her husband was John R. Morton and that they had a son with the same name that was a doctor, he died on April 30 1981.
Francis was my ggf James C. Mortons' sister in law. James C. Morton was born in 1847 in Virginia and ran away from home at age 13-14 to fight for the Confederacy. He was said to be a prisoner in Missouri.
