Serving as Union Soldiers in the Civil War 1861-1865:
Hi Joe,
William MORSE of Newfane, Windham Co., VT, enlisted in Co. I, 16th Regt. Sept. 20, 1862, mustered in Oct. 23, 1862, died of disease April 26, 1863 in defense of the Union and is buried in National Cemetery in Alexandria, Va [Virginia]. [pages 565 and 752]
