Searching for letters, journals, and other personal and public documents referencing the life and military service of Hiram G. Morse, who served as a private in Company C of the Ninety-third New York Infantry during the Civil War. Morse enlisted in November 1861 at Minerva, New York. Wounded in action on May 5, 1864, during the Battle of the Wilderness, he left the army with a disability discharge later that year. His wife, Jennie B. Morse, filed for a widow's pension in 1890. At the time of her filing, she resided in Illinois.

Any and all help appreciated.
