A biography of Thomas M. Morrow is included in "Montana, Its Story and Biography", Vol 3, page 876.

Thomas was born, 21 Nov 1888, son of George and Mary (Malloy) Morrow, both born in Ontario, Canada. George was a pioneer of the Red River Valley of North Dakota, going there from Perth, Ontario, in the early 1870s. He spent most of his life as an accountant and died, Feb 1919, age 60, in Minot, ND. Mary Malloy was the daughter of Patrick Malloy of Pembrook Ontario. Children of George and Mary Morrow: Frank J. (Minot, ND); George P. (Brandon, Manitoba); Dr. Thomas M. (Montana); John C. (Regina, Saskatchewan); Tenevieve (Sister Ignatius, St. Mary's Hospital, Minneapolis, MN); William D., Eileen.

Thomas was age four when his family moved to Minot, ND. He attended public schools at Minot and graduated from Creighton University, Omaha, NE, in Apr 1911. The following two years he trained as a surgeon in eye, ear, nose, and throat at St. Mary's Hospital in Minneapolis. In 1913, Dr. Morrow came to Medicine Lake, MT, where he engaged in general practice for five years. In Jul 1917 he volunteered and trained at the Medical Officers Training Camp at Fort Riley, KS. In Jul 1918, he was sent overseas to Brest where he was assigned as the chief of medical service at Allerey Provisional Hospital. For a short time, he was with the American troops in the Argonne region, then given special duty in ENT work at Base Hospital #53 at Langres. Dr. Murrow left Bourdeaux in Feb 1919, with Convalescent Medical Detachment 14, was hospitalized in New York Polyclinic, transferred to US General Hospital at Fort Snelling, MN, were he was honorably discharged on 28 Apr 1919. On returning to Montana, he resumed his professional work at Wolf Point, MT, where he was county physician for Roosevelt County and Special Examiner of the United States Public Health Service.
