I believe your James is a son of Jesse and brother of my John Morrow Morris.
Below is all I have been able to locate about James except the census returns you already have:

1860 Family listings:
Jesse Morris: 15 total improved acres, $500.00 value, 1 horse, 1 cow Independence Twp.
John M. Morris: 65 improved acres, 55 unimproved acres, 120 total acres, $3,400.00 value, 2 horses, 1 mule and 1 cow, Independence,Twp.
William J. Morris: 60 improved acres, 147 unimproved acres, 207 total acres, $6,000 value, 7 horses 8 oxen, 3 cows, Independence, Twp.
James Morris: 40 improved acres, 20 unimproved acres, 60 total acres, $800.00 value, 3 horses, 2 cows, Independence, Twp.

I have not been able to identify Elizabeth's maiden name.
