I have been seeing your postings about Jesse Morrow Morris and wife Polly Ann Johnson. I believe that James Morris, born about 1820, Missouri, who married Elizabeth ? born Missouri is the parents of my husbands great-grandfather.
Elijah Lee Morris, born July 31, 1864, Missouri, died May 21, 1936 in Bartlesville, Oklahoma. He married Emily Padgett, August 8, 1887 in Randolph County, Missouri.
According to Elijah's death Certificate, his father was James Morris and his mother was Elizabeth ?
On the 1870 Census, Jackson Co., MO, Lees Summit Twp., Dwelling 225, Family 226

This Elijah would fit the age of our Elijah.
I wondered if you have any more information on James Morris and wife Elizabeth that you have in your posting.
I did not find him in the 1850 census. I did find them in 1860-1870-1880. In 1880, Elizabeth, Widow is living in Chariton Co., Missouri with her children.
Any information would be greatly appreciated. I have enjoyed seeing your postings.
