Hello,
I am hoping to find out who the parents are of my GGGG Grandmother, Sarah/Sally Morrill.
By the age recorded on her death registration she was born about November 1775. The 1850 and 1860 gave her place of birth as Massachusetts, her death registration states New Hampshire, but the informant did not know who her parents were. Delmar Lowell states that she was "of Salem, Mass." I did not find any Morrills in Salem, but I did find some in Salisbury, Mass and Amesbury. I was unable to find her birth registration in Massachusetts.
She married about 1794 Ebenezer Lowell. Ebenezer Lowell was born in Amesbury, Mass in 1772, but was living in Loudon, NH by 1790. The 1790 census of Loudon shows that here were 4 Morrill households in Loudon:James 2-1-4, Moses 1-4-3, Oliver 2-0-1. and Samuel 4-2-5. Perhaps one of these is her father? I suspect that she married in Loudon. I tried ordering her marriage certificate, but so far every time I try New Hampshire they can never find any but thank me for my $12 donation.
She moved to Danville, VT by November 1831 when her husband died there. She is on the 1850 and 1860 census living with her son Ebenezer in 1850 and Henry in 1860. She died in Danville, VT 23 July 1863 aged 87 years and 8 months [puts birth in Nov 1775]. Her death registration gives her name as Sally, as does the Northstar death notice, but the cemetery lists her as Sarah Morrill Lowell.
I am hoping that someone on this list may have information about her from a family bible, will, or family history that can match her up so I can find her ancestors.
