I have been researching Joel Eastman Morrill Family on census records and had some help from a cousin whose mother tracked her Morrill family back to Abraham Morrill 1586 England.
Joel had a son Charles Morrill born about 1876 in Nebraska, probably in Chapman, Merrick Co., NE. (1880 Census)
From there, I tracked a Charles A. Morrill, but soon discovered he was not from the Joel E. Morrill family.
Charles A. (possibly Albert)Morrill was born in IA about 1868, is the son of a Charles H. Morrill, born about 1843 in New Hampshire. Charles H. married Hattie (Harriet?) born about 1844 NH. In the 1870 Hamilton Co., IA Census, Charles A. Morrill is listed as Albert, and, I believe, his mother gave birth to his brother Arthur about 1872.
Charles A. married Marcella J. Benster (Bensten?) in Merrick Co., NE in May of 1896.
I would appreciate some help in trying to figure out if the Joel Eastman Morrill family is connected to the Charles H. Morrill family so that I don't have to toss all of my notes.
