Hi Gary,

I found you in the Ancestry.com and was wondering if you had Squire David Morris's parents names? He married Ester Margaret Morphew in Illinois than settled in Iowa.

Square is the brother to my 2nd Great Grandfather, Enoch Morris. I found Squire and Enoch with the rest or some siblings in Illinois in 1850 with a lady named Nancy Morris, who might be the mother. Havent proven it yet, but most likely it his their mother. Did you happen to get Squires obituary or how did you find out his birthday was the 1st of March? I know the 1900 shows month and year of their birthdates, so just curious. In the 1850 census it shows Mary Johnson age 12 among the Morris family. She later on becomes Enoch's wife, my 2nd Great Grandma. All the children were born in Indiana and it shows their parents born in Indiana, except with Squire in the 1880 it has parents from Kentucky and than the 1900 has them from Tennessee. We have been told that our NA comes from Graces parents (Enoch and Mary Johnson-Morris). I don't know if it could be both or which side.

The 1920 did not show where the parents were born but he went by David and is living with dau (Nancy) and son in law.

I have her children and also might have found who Mable Morris married. Pretty sure it's the same Mable Morris as dau of Squire and Ester.

Looking forward to hearing from you

Teri
