My paternal grandmother's maiden name was Ruimi or Ruimy. She was born about 1874 probably in Morocco but also reported as Portugal. She married David Ohana and they lived in Tetuan, Morocco. Her given name was Aisha or Esa, father's name of Abram and mother's name of Tamo Ifergane.

Aisha and David emigrated to the U.S. in July 1904 from Ponta De Gada Portugal on the ship Peninsloar. They lived in Queens, Long Island, New York. Both passed away in 1954.

A cousin of mine is trying to work up a family tree on my grandmother's line. Any information you have would be appreciated.

Diane O'Hanna Andrews
