I don't dispute that Jan took a wife after he was captured by the turks or that Anthony was called "The Turk". But, from the timelines that I have seen, I believe that the generally accepted date of Anthony's birth is around 1610. Also, it appears as though Jan was captured by the turks around 1618.
That makes it very hard for Anthony to have been born to a North African mother. More likely, he was born to his Dutch mother and at some point went to live with his father.
