Michael, Starting to follow the research of Anthony Jansen, he is my 12th ggrandfather through his daughter Annica that married Thomas Southard, I have many different items on Jan Jansen, but don't know how many I can trust, don't know if you have seen the letter to a G.VanSickle dated 10 Oct 1978 Dear Sir, ..... If Antony Jansen and Grietje Reiners came from Amsterdam - which cannot be ascertained here - there is a possibility that the following deed deals with them. 15 Dec 1629. Publication of banns of Anthonis Janss (from Cartagena, sailor 22 years old, no parents alive, living near the Haringpakkerij) and Grietje Reyneirs (widow of Albert Egbertz Van Wezel since over two years). The celebration was not found here. Cartagena is in Spain. Grietje REyniers was about 27 years old, as at her first marriage in 1626 she was 24. signed Dr. Wilhelmina C. Pieterse Director of the Municipal Archives. Would love to try and find more about this line and would be willing to search different records. Alan
