Jesse Griffen- looking for 19th century letters

My name is Kent Steinke. I am currently researching a book about my great-great-great grandfather, Jesse Griffen (b. April 13,1829 Steeple Ashton, England- converted Nov., 1847), who was a Mormon preacher in England during the 1850s, and who traveled with the sixth handcart company.

Grandpa Griffen was a deep thinker and a prolific writer. So, I assume that he wrote many letters to his fellow LDS brothers and sisters, both those still in England, and those who had already gone to Utah.

I would like to recover as many as possible of the letters that he wrote. If (in your family archives) you have any letters (to your ancestor/s) signed Elder Jesse Griffen, I would be very interested in (at the very least) making copies of them.

Also, if you have any pioneer journals with references to Jesse Griffen, Brother Jesse Griffen, or Elder Jesse Griffen , these would be very useful to me.

Thank you,

Sincerely,

Kent Steinke
