Hi - I really hope someone knows about this!
I'm from England, helping my mum research our family history. We were really excited to find that we had Mormon relatives. My great-great-great grandmother was Sarah Petford, born in 1845 in Dudley, Worcestshire, England. Her eldest brother was John Thomas Petford (b. 1834 in same place), who married an Elizabeth Hale. We found out through familysearch.org that their daughter (and eleventh child) Caroline Sabina Petford emigrated to America after becoming a Mormon! She married Harry Harper (b. 1875, Dudley) in the Salt Lake City temple in 1910. Caroline died in Wilmington, CA in 1952; Harry died in San Pedro, CA in 1945. Their submitter is an Arthur L Harper who at the time of his submission was living in Long Beach CA and is (or was) presumably a member. I have tried to contact him using the address on the site but no avail. The Long Beach ward hasn't heard of him. As a non-member, I'm not really sure where to go from here. I was really hoping somebody would recognise the name or know where I should look. I would be very grateful for any suggestions.
