Helo david,
I had the same problem with my LDS relatives. But through alot of research came up with "some" answers.
The Church Archives was were I found most info. I spent two days in SLC going through file after file and found enough to piece a time line together. Try that if you alreeady haven't.
The next choice would be "BYU Online werbsite. There is a ton of information there about the Saints in Nauvoo and beyond.
