Hi Linda, We might be related. The family tree that I have of the Morlings, which is my mothers family, the earliest I go back is to the year 1776, which is the year that John Morling died in Brighton England. He was the village schoolmaster, of the then village of Brighton.(On the South Coast of Eng,). He had 7 children, their names were Philip, John, William, Elizabeth, Thomas, Robert and Pierce.According to my mothers's cousin, both of whom unfortunately have passed away. In the record that I have, dates are not noted, except for my G.G.G.G.Grandfather? My mother is directly descended from Philip. Philip had 8 children one of whom was also named Robert, who believe or not married a lady named Charlotte!I think either Charlotte, or Robert died young according to the notes that I have, they must have had issue, but of the children I have no record. My guess is that we must be related since it would be too much of a coincidence. Is your mother related to one of the Morlings who went to San Antonio, in Tx.? For what it is worth another of that family, of that time, lives about 60 miles from us at a place called Tillsonburg, he is a retired High schoolteacher. We live in a town called Guelph, in Ontario Canada. It was nice to hear from you and if you have other info please contact me.
