I have a Henry James Morley birth cert 29 sept 1838 Winchester. He is not the one you are looking for as on the 1861 census he was a seaman RN living in Portsmouth. At least you can eliminate him from your enquiries.

I haven't found my Jenry James after this but his brothers Thomas and Charles went to live in Canada so I suspect he may have done the same.
